We love animals.

It's not just superficial. At the Humane Society of North Texas, there are so many great animals (not just cats and dogs, either!) that are in need of a friend. Although some of us would be thrilled to adopt all the kittens or all the puppies at the shelter, we know it just isn't possible to do so, as there are many more strays being brought in on a daily basis. Instead, what we do is spend some time walking lonely dogs, playing with cats, and giving care for these friendless animals.

We also participate in donating items to the HSNT shelter - toys, clothes, food, cleaning items, etc., and we have a big fundraising event each school semester. Last semester, our fundraiser was held at Campesino's, where a significant percentage of the restaurant's profits that day was donated to the HSNT, and one of their members brought dogs that were up for adoption.

In a single day, we helped animals, got our names out further than campus boundaries, and formed a strong connection with Campesino's and the HSNT!
